PHILIP HSIN and his family fled Phnom Penh, Cambodia, just days before its fall to the Khmer Rouge. The first Cambodian refugee family to arrive in Portland, Oregon, they relied on government aid until his parents could begin working.
After more than three decades spent in the corporate world, Philip is now focused on raising his two young children and on his passion projects. Having written his first book, The Passion Gap, he’s transitioned into helping other parents deal with strategic parenting issues by utilizing his experience and passion for psychology and finance.

He earned a BS degree in finance with a minor in behavioral sciences from Oregon State University and an executive MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Philip is also a member of the Panel of Community Advisors to Honour (Singapore), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a culture of honor and honorable behavior for the well-being of Singapore.
